Valuations and certificates
How can I find out what my jewellery is worth?
Before deciding what to do with a piece, it helps to know exactly what it is: what kind of jewel, when it was made and what it is made of. From there we can work out its value.
Then there are plenty of options: restoring it; reworking it so it feels more modern and is easier to wear; selling it; or reusing the metal and stones to make something new. We talk it through with you, with the pieces in front of us on the counter.
We also carry out valuations in the presence of a notary, for example when a safe-deposit box is opened.
Do you certify jewellery and gemstones?
Yes. We have jewellery and gemstones certified by the independent gemmological laboratories we work with.
Bespoke jewellery
Can you make a new piece of jewellery for me?
Of course, any kind of piece. We often design new jewellery together with our clients, whether you already have a clear idea or just a rough one and we start the design from scratch.
We turn your wishes into one-of-a-kind jewellery.
Can you make our wedding rings?
Yes: we make wedding rings by hand, and we can also use your own gold.
We usually hand-engrave your names and the wedding date inside. Handmade rings are unique: they aren’t mass-produced to a standard size and style.
Can I see what my piece will look like before ordering?
Certainly. We make sketches, detailed drawings and photorealistic renderings, so you’ll have a clear idea of your piece before you confirm the order.
What techniques do you use?
A whole range: from lost-wax casting and cuttlebone casting to digital design.
Do you sell contemporary jewellery?
Yes: Jacopo designs a range of contemporary jewellery in silver and aluminium.
Repairs and restoration
One of my pieces is broken. Can you repair it?
Yes: repairs and restoration are one of our specialities. We also work on the most delicate pieces, such as jewellery with enamel, antique stones, coral or engraved stones.
We handle repairs large and small on every kind of gem, even when the stone itself is broken or damaged.
Can you resize my ring while I’m in Florence for a few days?
Yes. We have special equipment that lets us do it quickly: an hour is usually all we need.
Do you repair gold chains?
Yes. We have had a laser welder for many years, and we were the first in Florence to own one: we can repair chains, even the very finest, while keeping every link free to move.
Do you do permanent “infinity” bracelets?
Yes, and permanent anklets too. Once it is welded, you can’t tell where the bracelet was closed.
I’ve lost an earring. Can you make a matching one?
Usually, yes: it is almost always possible to make a replica.
Do you restring pearl necklaces?
Yes, and it’s a quick, inexpensive service: we check the clasp, clean the pearls and restring them, knotted or unknotted.
Do you repair watches?
Yes: we service, value, restore and repair watches.

Yes: we speak fluent English and French, and a little Japanese.
Do you ship abroad? Can I order a piece from home?

Ordering from abroad is easy too: we keep in touch by email or WhatsApp and, with sketches and photos, we can make a piece for you without you ever needing to visit.
How do I get to the shop?
We are at Via delle Terme 14D, right in the city centre, a couple of minutes’ walk from the Ponte Vecchio. Via delle Terme runs between two of Florence’s finest shopping streets, Via Tornabuoni and Via Por Santa Maria. From Santa Maria Novella station it is about a 15-minute walk.
If you’re coming by car, the Garage delle Terme is right opposite the shop: it registers your number plate with the ZTL system, so you can legally drive into the restricted traffic zone.
